Wetland Pockets

"Watermarks at the Pueblo Nature Center, Pueblo, CO, 1995-96"

This small constructed wetland will biologically filter the first toxic flush of runoff from

the asphalt parking lot before it runs into the Arkansas River.  The stone marker with

the cast bronze waterflow icon gives a sense of entry as people walk by and the ripple

pattern in the hand cut sandstone trench drain gives the memory of water during the

long dry spell.
